1/16/2010 – Shelter Spotlight

January 16, 2010

I’m Sure You Are All Nice & Nuzzeled Up Watching Football On The First Day Of The NFL Divisional Playoffs, And I’m Sure You Enjoyed The Colts & Saints Winning Their Games. I Had Few Friends With Some Cash On The Games Which always Rock, And As A Result of Me Winning A Non Monetary Bet On One Of The Games, I Got To Pick Tonight’s City Of Choice. That City Is Kansas City, MO And Today’s Shelter Spotlight Will Feature City Union Mission.

The City Union Mission demonstrates not only an atmosphere of care, but also an enviroment that helps the homeless and the hungry by supplying clothes and food. Founded in 1924, the City Union Mission is located at 1100 East 11th Street, Kansas City, MO. They Can Be Reached By Phone At (816) 474-4599.

“Since 1924, City Union Mission has provided warm beds, nutritious food and a place of safety for thousands of poverty stricken and homeless men, women and children. Founded by Rev. and Mrs. David Bulkley, the Mission’s staff has been uncompromising in their commitment to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the hurting and the lost. City Union Mission receives no government support and is not a United Way agency”. – From Their Website – http://www.cumission.org
